About the job
The Employment Integration Office of the City of Thun supports long-term unemployed and social assistance recipients in their professional and social integration. We offer temporary jobs in internal companies and external placements. Our job coaches provide individual support to clients and assist with integration into the primary labor market.
To complement our team, we are looking for a
Your tasks:
- Coaching and advising program participants during the integration process
- Collaboration with the pedagogical specialists of the internal companies as well as the contact persons of private sector companies and NGOs
- Maintaining interdisciplinary exchange with other stakeholders such as social workers and supplementary support networks (career counseling, case management BB, and others)
- Supervision of participants during external work assignments including crisis intervention and follow-up support after successful placement
- Responsibility for case management (initial, status, and coaching interviews) and related administration including file opening and corresponding reporting to the referring services
You bring with you:
- Professional qualification and several years of professional experience
- Further training in coaching, supported employment, adult education, or comparable additional training
- Several years of experience in employment integration as a job coach (preferably in the BIAS area)
- Very good oral and written communication skills, as well as target group-appropriate communication
- Sound knowledge of the general and regional labor market as well as the education landscape
- You enjoy acquiring jobs and training positions and have a proactive and pragmatic approach
- High social competence, flexibility, resilience, and ability to work in a team
- Very good knowledge of the MS Office suite, affinity for using case management tools (corix TOGETHER)
- Understanding of business management contexts
- Driver's license category B is an advantage
