Administrative Assistant Residence and Services
Office for Migration and Civil Law | 100% | Chur
The Office for Migration and Civil Law currently has 230 employees at over 20 locations and is responsible for the entire range of tasks in the field of migration, i.e., in particular the granting and revocation of permits, accommodation and care, enforcement of expulsions, as well as integration. Additionally, identity cards for Swiss nationals are issued, naturalizations are carried out, and supervision of civil status authorities is exercised. The headquarters of the Office for Migration and Civil Law is in Chur.
We are looking for an administrative assistant for the Office for Migration and Civil Law starting immediately or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
- Recording, managing, and controlling data from the asylum sector
- Data entry and maintenance related to foreigner permits
- Issuing work permits
- Creating tables, statistics, and reports
- General correspondence and statements
- Providing information at the reception/counter as well as by phone
What we expect from you
- Completed commercial or equivalent vocational training
- Professional experience in the commercial field with appropriate further training
- Independence, personal responsibility, and decisiveness
- Teamwork skills, careful and precise work
- Fluency in oral and written communication
- Empathy in dealing with different cultures and life situations
- Foreign language skills are an advantage
- Very good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word as well as a generally high affinity for IT
