gaw is a non-profit organization and has stood since 1987 for professional and sustainable work and residential integration for people with mainly psychological impairments in the Basel region. A diverse team of around 100 professionals contributes in the areas of retail/production, gastronomy, housekeeping, packaging and shipping, commercial professions as well as housing with around 230 supported work and training places and 35 semi-supported residential places.

To complement our team at the Migros partner Zürcherstrasse in Basel, we are looking for a versatile and committed personality as Department Manager and Vocational Trainer Food and Fresh 80% immediately or by arrangement.
Your tasks - versatile & meaningful
- Training and supervision of our learners and employees with performance impairments
- Management of the assigned departments/mainly baked goods including ordering and compliance with Migros guidelines
- Regular journal entries (Abacus) about the progress of the training
- Deputizing for another department
- Ensuring and complying with operational processes according to internal quality management
Your profile - professionally competent & personally committed
- Completed basic training in retail EFZ, mandatory in the food sector
- Several years of professional experience in the fresh produce sector and ideally in the food sector
- Joy, patience and understanding in dealing with people with performance impairments
- Experience in apprentice training, ideally with vocational trainer course
- Independent and responsible way of working
- Numerical flair, solid IT skills (SAP, Abacus, Outlook, Word)
- Willingness to work in alternating day shifts
