Two Pastors

The Reformed Church Community of Zurich is the largest church community in Switzerland by membership. It reaches a wide variety of people throughout the city with its offerings and is there for the needs of very different people with its innovative forms of church life. Church district two includes Enge, Leimbach and Wollishofen. Located between the lake and Uetliberg, it connects urban and village-shaped living spaces. About 38,000 people live here, around 6,500 of them are Reformed. Here you encounter different forms of living and lifestyles, various cultural contexts and generations.

For the pastoral team of church district two we are looking for as of September 1, 2026 or by arrangement:

In addition to the general pastoral duties, the following focal points are available for selection:

• Child and Family: Theological leadership and (further) development of low-threshold child- and family-friendly offerings. Support for parents with questions about religion and spirituality.
• Young Adults / Adults: Development of new forms of community and lived spirituality. Encourage engagement with current social and religious topics. Create spaces for joint exchange, faith conversations and participation.
• Green City Spirit (project position 20%): Community building and pioneering work in the new development area Manegg. Designing an urban pastoral office with low-threshold, intercultural offerings as well as relationship work across all generations.

Your Profile

• You are theologically rooted in the Reformed State Church and proclaim the Christian message in a life-related way. With courage and creativity, you open innovative access to spirituality.
• You work with heart, commitment and empathy together with the pastoral team and all other professional groups on an equal footing.
• You maintain an active feedback culture, communicate transparently and appreciatively, and are willing to support different people with humor and assistance.
• You motivate volunteers to participate and shape community life with them.
• You are willing to contribute to the further development of the Zurich church community.
• You appreciate lively ecumenical cooperation.
