About the job
Staefa, Switzerland
Manager Audiology (F/M/D)
Purpose of the Role
As the Audiology Manager ITE & Lyric (AM), you are the application expert and voice of the customer for a dedicated product portfolio. You understand how our products are used, fitted, and experienced — and you transform that knowledge into meaningful impact across product development, validation, and training.
In close collaboration with Business Units and R&D, you will help define new products (Phases A–C), initiate or oversee audiological benchmark tests, and work with the validation/PMCF team to shape study designs and claims. You will serve as a key trainer for Global Contacts (GCs) and key customers, coordinate deliverables with other Audiology Managers, and ensure that the needs of both Hearing Care Professionals (HCPs) and end users are always represented.
More About the Role
In this dynamic and collaborative role, you will:
- Collaborate on product definition (Phases A–C): contribute audiological insights and clinical expertise to shape new product concepts and features.
- Create and deliver training programs: design, plan, and execute GC and customer trainings, ensuring consistency and excellence.
- Develop training tools and blended learning programs in accordance with company SOPs.
- Support Marketing and Product Management: contribute to the creation of value propositions, ensuring scientific evidence and audiological accuracy for product launches and campaigns.
- Initiate and coordinate studies to support product launches and thought-leadership activities in alignment with study approval processes.
- Act as an ambassador for Phonak’s strong audiological heritage, promoting excellence and credibility in every communication.
- Provide input for future platforms and product innovations, using your market and clinical insights.
- Stay current with global audiological trends, ensuring Phonak remains at the forefront of clinical and technological development.
- Ensure the availability of scientific marketing materials (e.g., Phonak Insights, Field Study News) as needed.
More About You
You are a passionate audiologist who combines clinical expertise with a strategic mindset. You enjoy transforming audiological knowledge into impactful product experiences and thrive in a role that blends research, collaboration, and training.
What you bring:
- Degree in Audiology or equivalent qualification.
- Hands-on experience fitting hearing aids, ideally with in-the-ear and extended-wear products.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs.
- Strong communication and presentation skills — you’re a confident and credible presenter who can engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, with a results-oriented and proactive approach.
- Skilled at facilitating cross-functional collaboration and maintaining constructive relationships across teams.
- Broad knowledge of hearing technology and industry trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT tools.
- Excellent command of English; German and/or French are strong assets
