Participate in electricity supply in Switzerland
Our System Forecast and Optimisation team is responsible for forecast studies, from D-2 to Intraday in collaboration with Swiss and European network actors. This includes, on the one hand, operational activities carried out in a team according to a 3x8h schedule, and on the other hand, strategic projects aimed at developing and integrating new European processes as well as tomorrow's tools. In this exciting role, you will take on the following tasks:
- Creation of Swiss network models based on consumption forecasts, production programs and cross-border exchanges, and planned work on installations.
- Analysis on D-1 and Intraday of network security and preparation of measures to resolve congestions, in coordination with foreign transmission system operators, power plant operators, distribution network operators, as well as internal teams
- Calculation, validation and publication of transmission capacities at Swiss borders (NTC), on D-2, D-1 and Intraday
- Assessment of supply security within the framework of European STA (Short Term Adequacy) coordination, based on consumption forecasts, available production capacities in Switzerland and taking into account transmission capacities at the borders.
- Collaboration on various projects at Swiss and European level to develop tomorrow's processes and tools

For this exciting position at the heart of the electrical network, we are looking for a person with a strong team spirit, communicative, conscientious, with great speed and learning ability. You are characterized by your decisiveness, natural authority and strong sense of responsibility, and you are passionate about operating the transmission network. In addition, you have the following:
- Higher education in electrical engineering or similar fields and experience in the field of electrical networks. Experience in network operation is a plus
- Good psychological stability and high resilience to stressful situations
- Analytical mind, ease and rigor in managing complex data. Programming knowledge is a plus
- Ability to collaborate with operational and multidisciplinary teams
- Proactivity and autonomy in managing tasks and/or projects
- Very good knowledge of English and French. Basic knowledge of German is desired
- Availability for shift work and on-call service (24/7), occasionally on weekends.

About us
The System Operations department is responsible for operating the Swiss high-voltage network. With nearly 80 employees, we ensure that Switzerland always has a sufficient amount of electricity and that the electrical system is stable, safe and available at all times, from multi-year planning to real-time operation.
The System Forecast & Optimisation team mainly works in the control centers (SGC) of Prilly and Aarau. It is composed of open-minded engineers with varied professional backgrounds. We are a highly motivated, very close-knit team with great personal responsibility and a solution-oriented approach.
