Job Description
The HPCI (Hygiene, Prevention and Infection Control) Reference Nurse is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and evaluating hospital hygiene and infection prevention measures within the clinic.
He/she ensures the safety of patients, staff, and visitors by rigorously applying cantonal and federal recommendations (FOPH, Swissnoso, HPCI guidelines).
He/she acts as a resource person and liaison between nursing, medical, technical teams, and management.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
HES nursing diploma or equivalent title recognized by the Swiss Red Cross.
Additional training in HPCI (e.g., HPCI module, continuing education certificate in hospital hygiene or equivalent).
Experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting, ideally with HPCI assignments.
Professional Skills
Strong knowledge of Swiss HPCI standards and recommendations (FOPH, Swissnoso).
Ability to analyze, assess risks, and propose improvements.
Proficiency in office tools and internal communication supports.
Personal Skills
Team spirit and ability to collaborate interdisciplinarily.
Rigor, discretion, and sense of responsibility.
Ability to persuade and conduct training sessions.
Autonomy, organization, and proactivity.
