Amidst an untouched nature park, the Grandhotel Giessbach is located in a magnificent setting high above Lake Brienz. It features 75 individually furnished rooms and suites with views of the lake, the waterfalls, and the forest. The park restaurant «Les Cascades» with 140 indoor and 180 terrace seats offers a breathtaking view of the Giessbach Falls, and our new restaurant «ELISA Bistro & Terrace» with 60 seats enchants our guests with creations made from local products directly from our garden and the region. The historic hotel residence is widely known for its splendid banquets and lively balls as well as for the unique concert series of the unplugged Giessbach Sessions and offers space for up to 200 guests.
Front Office & Reservation Manager (m/f/d)
For our Front Office team, we are looking for a passionate and engaging personality for a one-year position from December 1, 2025 or by arrangement, who organizes their tasks with passion and supports our team.
What to expect with us
- You and your team are the first contact for our guests and represent our values and philosophy externally.
- Operational management of the Front Office & Reservations team including duty scheduling, quality & performance management
- Ensuring an excellent, personal guest experience from first contact to check-out
- Responsibility for all reservation processes (individual inquiries, upselling, rate maintenance)
- Close cooperation with Sales, Revenue Management, F&B, and Housekeeping
- Coaching, training & development of the team
- Representation of the hotel as host and first contact person for VIPs & key guests
What you bring with you
- You are an organizationally strong personality with a high sense of responsibility and a careful working style. Ideally, you are a host personality with natural elegance and service understanding
- You lead by example with authenticity, empathy, and strong communication skills and communicate openly and clearly.
- Your manners are impeccable and teamwork is very important to you
- You have completed a commercial apprenticeship or attended a Swiss hotel management school and can demonstrate several years of experience in Front Office or Reservations and have very good German and English skills. All other languages are an advantage.
- Familiar with PMS/reservation tools & modern hospitality standards
- Enthusiasm for historic & authentic Swiss hospitality
