For our AFR Export Gateway team in Kloten, we are looking for a committed, assertive and service-oriented individual as Team Leader AFR Export Gateway. In this versatile leadership role, you will be responsible for a team of up to 8 employees and ensure an efficient, high-quality operation in the daily export gateway business.

Your tasks

Leadership & Personnel Development

• Professional and personnel management of the AFR Export Gateway team
• Conducting employee interviews and performance evaluations according to HR guidelines
• Ensuring optimal deployment planning, utilisation and organisation of the team
• Supporting and coaching employees in daily business
• Monitoring working hours, holiday planning

Operational Responsibility

• Responsibility for the operational handling and monitoring of export consol shipments, in compliance with BAZL regulations
• Planning, controlling and optimising Swiss export and cross-border consol shipments
• Ensuring timely completions according to flight schedules
• Collaboration with airlines, agents, partners and international DHL stations
• Bookings and reservations with airlines and business partners
• Monitoring shipments, milestones and departure controls
• Ensuring quality standards in documentation, cargo handling and shipment tracking
• Continuous analysis and optimisation of existing processes
• Ensuring compliance with safety, customs and compliance regulations
• Reporting irregularities, complaints and operational challenges
• Responsibility for the economic optimisation of your own area
• Provision of relevant customs documents
• Maintenance of MAWB stocks

Your profile

• Completed commercial training, preferably in international freight forwarding logistics
• At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in air freight export
• Initial leadership or team management experience is an advantage
• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
• Good user knowledge of MS Office
• High initiative, resilience and sense of responsibility
• Entrepreneurial thinking as well as strong customer and service orientation
• Business management knowledge is an advantage
