As part of the development of the "Information Systems and Telecommunications" activity area, we are advertising the following position:

Industrial IT Application Engineer

Your mission

Attached to the Cross-Expertise Pole within the Solutions unit team, you are responsible for the industrial IT solutions deployed within our company. You will work on the development, configuration, and maintenance of software applications dedicated to managing industrial systems in a public transport environment. You will be a key player in optimizing operational processes and implementing control and supervision solutions.

Your main responsibilities

• Analyze user and client needs to define application solutions adapted to transport systems,
• participate in the development and configuration of software applications according to the specific requirements of our vehicles and buildings,
• ensure deployment, integration, and production rollout of applications in an industrial environment,
• optimize the performance of industrial IT systems to guarantee their efficiency and reliability,
• participate in corrective and evolutionary maintenance of applications in collaboration with technical teams and users,
• collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects are executed within deadlines,
• supervise the integration of new software and hardware solutions within production systems,
• ensure operational monitoring and evolution of your scope of industrial IT solutions,
• guarantee compliance with quality and IT security standards,
• coordinate various internal and external stakeholders (suppliers, subcontractors, partners),
• contribute to the application solutions roadmap in support of the IT service manager,
• train and support end users during the production rollout of new solutions.

Your profile

• University degree, ETH, HES in computer science or equivalent field (desired),
• at least 2 years of proven experience in industrial IT within a transport company,
• experience with IP network communication solutions (video surveillance, passenger information, industrial automation),
• experience with embedded industrial IT solutions on public transport vehicles (an asset),
• experience in configuring and administering routers, switches, and firewalls,
• knowledge of IP communication protocols and routing (TCP/IP, OpenVPN, BGP, etc.) as well as subnet management (VLAN),
• ability to analyze and solve complex problems,
• leadership, ability to mobilize collective intelligence and work in a network,
• good communication skills, ease in managing client and supplier relationships,
• autonomy, ability to manage conflicts, make decisions, and good stress management,
• minimum English level B2
