Head of Department Materials Management and Strategic Purchasing (m/f/d) 80 - 100%
We actively shape the energy transition and are looking for a motivated personality who wants to actively help shape this change.
This is what you will do:
- Professional and personnel management of the Materials Management and Purchasing department consisting of the warehouse manager and five employees.
- Management and supervision of materials management as well as further development of the warehouse organization.
- Responsibility for efficient, high-quality procurement and storage processes (including budget, objectives, compliance with all regulations).
- Active market observation, negotiation of attractive framework agreements, and ensuring supply security for the technical areas.
- Coordination of inventories as well as proper disposal, recycling, and handling of special waste.
- Ensuring economical operation of internal transport, including vehicle procurement and supervision.
- Professional maintenance of supplier relationships.
This is what you bring:
- Completed technical or commercial basic training and further education in purchasing, technology, or logistics (e.g., technical merchant, purchasing or logistics specialist FA); a higher professional examination as purchasing manager is a plus.
- Several years of professional experience in purchasing and logistics in public administration or an SME; knowledge of public procurement is an advantage.
- Solid leadership experience of several employees.
- Confident handling of MS Office and user knowledge in Abacus are desirable.
- Winning personality with pronounced social skills, clear communication, and the ability to keep an overview even in intense phases.
- Strong negotiation skills, assertiveness, and a team-oriented but also independent and responsible working style.
- Networked, business-oriented thinking as well as a good understanding of complex contexts.
