The position includes central tasks in the areas of thermal process safety, explosion protection, and project support. You act as an internal contact person in these fields, commission the process safety laboratories for investigations and evaluate their results, continuously develop safety-relevant processes, and actively contribute your expertise in audits, risk analyses, and safety clarifications.
Your tasks:
- Thermal process safety and explosion protection
- Owner of measurement results from the process safety laboratory and the HSE reports
- Responsible for the ongoing revision of the explosion protection documents at the plant
- Organizer of recurring training in the area of thermal process safety and explosion protection
- Participation in risk analyses
- Operational consulting in the area of explosion protection and process safety
- Writing and collaborating on internal company guidelines, safety regulations, or work instructions
- Representation of Arxada in the EPSC expert committee for "Chemical Hazard Analysis"
- Project support
- Evaluation of projects in their early phase regarding their chemical potential
- Review of relevant safety-critical data for completeness as preparation for the risk analysis
- Checking the safety-critical data for completeness, if necessary initiating further measurements
- Assessment of thermal risks and explosion hazards
- Development of protective measures as well as safe working and process conditions
- Conducting audits, safety rounds, and incident clarifications
- Continuous training and further education in own area
- Deputy for team colleagues in the HSE department
- Responding to customer and supplier inquiries regarding thermal process safety and explosion protection
Your profile:
At least 15 years of professional experience in the chemical industry, preferably in production, laboratory, or HSE
MSc or PhD, ideally in the field of chemistry
Written and spoken language skills in German and English
Setting and implementing individual and team-related goals that support the company strategy
Professional and effective management of internal and external customer relationships
