During the 3-year apprenticeship, you will rotate through various laboratory departments in blocks as part of your practical training. You will learn to analyze food and pharmaceuticals using simple wet chemical methods up to the most modern instrumental analytical techniques. You will attend vocational school FREI's Schulen in Lucerne 1 ½ days per week.
- Good to very good secondary school results, grade 4.5 in German, French, and English, at least grade 5.0 in mathematics and natural science subjects
- Enjoyment and interest in scientific processes, mathematical questions, and experimenting
- Proficient use of computers and electronic devices, basic technical understanding
- High willingness to learn, commitment, as well as careful and precise working methods
- Teamwork skills, perseverance, and reliability
- 6 weeks of vacation
- Coverage of costs for school materials, vocational courses, work clothes, and protective equipment
