Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Pastry Sous-Chef, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently providing professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Assisting in the preparation and plating of all banquet desserts and for the various restaurants
- Preparing according to basic recipes (doughs, bread, creams, sauces, and coulis, etc.)
- Helping with the setup of dessert buffets
- Participating in service during buffets and informing clients about the dessert contents
- Ensuring equipment is maintained in good working order and the kitchen is kept clean
- Following instructions given by the direct supervisor
- Managing the workstation independently, always under the supervision of a superior
- Respecting and applying hygiene rules
- Committing to the quality of service, discretion, and perfect honesty
- Maintaining a professional attitude, being friendly, and staying calm at all times
- Respecting ergonomic work standards, health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary prescriptions
- Adhering to department and company policies, procedures, and service standards
- Performing any other assigned tasks
Qualifications
- Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) in pastry or cook
- 3 years of experience including apprenticeship
- Good knowledge of the French language
- Passion for pastry
- Inventive and creative in work
- Responsible and reliable
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good presentation, neat and conscientious
- Ability to work alone and in a team
- Flexibility in working hours
Physical Implications of the Position:
The physical implications of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Constant: standing and walking throughout the work period
- Constant: lifting and carrying loads
- Occasional: kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional: going up or down stairs and ramps

To work in Switzerland, the candidate must possess a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
