For our Finance Department within the "Buildings" Division, we are looking for you as our new Commercial Project Manager (m/f/d). Your workplace will be our "Connect" headquarters in Opfikon as well as the construction site.

As a commercial project manager, you ensure that the projects you manage are properly handled commercially. This means you are responsible for correct construction cost management in close coordination with the (technical) project manager and guarantee that the project evaluation and cash flow planning are accurate.

What you will do

• Review contracts regarding invoicing and payments, bank guarantees, insurances, changes, claims, and other financial and administrative matters
• Control of debtor invoices and receivables management: initiate appropriate measures in case of non-payment
• Internal and external billing of services
• Monitoring, checking, and approval of creditor invoices for suppliers and subcontractors
• Preparation of liquidity planning / cash forecast
• Preparation of forecasts as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities,
• Participation in accrual discussions
• Assisting with client claims regarding commercial topics
• Ensuring contracts are signed before work begins
• Validation of project budgets during the offer phase and project start
• Interface to financial accounting and business controlling
• Further development of commercial project management and participation in internal projects

What you bring

• Commercial education (university/FH or other further training) with a technical flair or construction project experience or technical education with corresponding commercial additional training
• Several years of professional experience in project business or the construction industry
• Good knowledge of SAP and MS Office
• Team player with high sense of responsibility, persistence, and assertiveness
• Independent, structured, and result-oriented working style
• Hands-on / communicative personality, negotiation skills
• Very good German and good English skills
