What you can achieve
- Leadership of the office as well as the two principals of the cantonal secondary schools
- Implementation and supervision of secondary and higher education legislation
- Planning and development of educational offerings at the upper secondary level (general education)
- Responsibility for the implementation of the revised maturity recognition regulations and the framework curriculum at the grammar schools
- Management of the maturity commission as well as coordination of entrance and final examinations
- Representation in the management of the Department of Education, in the Education Council, and in specialist committees
- Contact point for tertiary education and responsibility for university contributions
- Enforcement of the legislation for the Schwyz University of Teacher Education and membership in the university council
What distinguishes you for this
- University degree with pedagogical qualification for upper secondary level II and corresponding further education
- Several years of leadership experience, ideally in the (secondary or higher) school sector as well as knowledge of public administration
- Strong interest in educational policy topics
- Communicative, articulate personality and high skill in dealing with different stakeholders
- Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style
- Familiarity with political processes
- Good knowledge of the Swiss higher education landscape is desired
