Country Controller DACH 80 - 100% (f/m/d)

The opportunity

Join our Controlling Practice & Operations (CP&O) team as Country Controller for DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), reporting to the Cluster Lead for Europe-I, and make a significant impact with your financial planning and controlling expertise.

Mission Statement: Deliver top-notch financial planning and controlling services by analyzing metrics, identifying trends and issues, communicating insights, and recommending actions to enhance financial performance.

How you'll make an impact

• Overseeing and managing all corporate functions related accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficient financial operations in DACH.

• Leading and developing the country controlling team, including training, and capacity building

• Review of all financial statements prepared by Finance Common Shared Services and monthly reporting towards local management on key KPI

• Track and analyze capital expenditure budgets and actual spending monthly

• Partner with global & local controllers to analyze financial performance and propose improvements 

• Collaborate with the Country Finance Director (CFD) and other senior local managers in Finance on strategic initiatives

• Act as finance business partner to local function managers and assist in all Finance related aspects, actively participate in process improvement initiatives, regionally and/or globally 

Your background

• Strong accounting background, preferably with a master’s degree in accounting and finance

• Deep understanding of IFRS is a must. Experience with local statutory accounting (HGB) is a plus

• Extensive experience in a similar role

• Highly skilled in independent problem-solving to handle complex, financial, regulatory and operational challenges without constant oversight

• The ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders, including management and auditors, as well as being proactive with a strong commitment to quality and adherence to strict deadlines

• Good understanding and hands-on experience in SAP FICO and proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Power BI PowerPoint, etc.)

• Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written
