Psychologist Mobile Intervention for Youth Crises AJB 60%Good for life – that is our motto. As part of the Education Directorate of the Canton of Zurich, the Office for Youth and Career Counseling is responsible for services in the field of child and youth welfare as well as career counseling. Children, adolescents, and families are at the center of our work. We dedicate ourselves to them daily with great passion and commitment.
On behalf of the government council, the AJB offers consultations for children and adolescents between 10 and 18 years old in acute crises in a initially limited project until the end of 2030. The service supports young people and their families quickly, easily accessible, and on short notice to find sustainable and viable solutions. This closes existing gaps in the service landscape and relieves already existing services.
As a psychologist, you will advise adolescents in acute psychosocial crises and their families on short notice. You work in a networked manner and in close cooperation with professionals from social work, psychology, schools, and child and adolescent psychiatry in the Canton of Zurich. We are looking to strengthen the team from June 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Your tasks
- Counseling adolescents in acute psychosocial crises and their families in various settings (internally, at the families' homes, etc.)
- Independent case management as well as organizing suitable follow-up solutions if further support is needed
- Networking and collaboration with professionals and services in the field of child and youth welfare in the Canton of Zurich
- Participation in the development of professional foundations
Your profile
- Master’s degree in Psychology (FH or University)
- Further training in systemic and/or solution-oriented counseling
- Experience in the field of child and youth welfare
- Networked thinking and acting, high independence, and enjoyment in taking responsibility
- Openness and enjoyment of teamwork
