At the Meiringen Private Clinic, people with all forms of mental suffering find admission, treatment, and care. The third largest psychiatric clinic in the canton of Bern is open to patients from all over Switzerland and abroad and is responsible for inpatient psychiatric basic care in the eastern Bernese Oberland.
The Meiringen Private Clinic, as a member of the "Swiss Leading Hospitals," is one of the leading private clinics in Switzerland.
At the PZJE (Psychiatric Center for Young Adults), we treat adolescents and young adults aged between 16 and 25 years with disorders from the entire spectrum of psychiatry with comprehensive psychiatric-psychotherapeutic treatment. The center has 30 beds, divided into a crisis intervention area and a psychotherapy area. Treatment is based on the latest evidence-based medical, therapeutic, and nursing knowledge.
A focus is the psychiatric-psychotherapeutic treatment of adolescents and young adults; in addition, the center also offers admission in crises and is primarily open and, if necessary, managed on a protected ward.
Your tasks
- Medical care for medical or psychiatric issues
- Close collaboration in the interdisciplinary team
- Medical documentation
- Telephone clarification and consultation for referrals
- Emergency admissions

- Experience in dealing with people with mental illnesses
- Willingness to independently assess and treat psychiatric emergencies at night
- High flexibility and resilience
- High level of patient orientation and respectful interaction with people in crisis situations
- Discretion and adherence to ethical and legal principles
- Team and communication skills, especially in an interdisciplinary environment
- Decisiveness and sense of responsibility in dealing with psychiatric emergencies
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form
