Position Overview

The Manager, Product Management, International will lead a team of product managers and is a key leader in the International IT team at Exact Sciences. They will work with several cross-functional teams to execute a unified Product strategy. The individual will be responsible for the continued successful support of Product teams across the Exact Sciences International Business Unit, focusing on one product sub pillar or a specific set of features within a larger product line.
This is a cross-functional role whose holder must collaborate with business stakeholders, develop a strong understanding of the business’ needs, and define clear requirements for technology initiatives.
The role is based in our office in Zug, Switzerland.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage a team of product managers who are responsible for the day-to-day product development activities, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and feature prioritization. Ensure their work is in alignment with department objectives and informed by strategic directions from leadership.
- Demonstrate an understanding of business strategy and the ability to translate this into user stories, business requirements, and feature requests.
- Manage one product sub pillar or a specific set of features within a larger product line and lead the product team with market research and gathering customer feedback to define product requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, and marketing to ensure successful product launches.
- Lead tracking product performance using metrics and analytics to support ongoing optimization and iteration.
- Be a resource for and mentor product managers of varying degrees of seniority by providing insight, recommendations, and guidance on product management best practices.
- Maintain strong relationships and transparency with key stakeholders across multiple functions and at all levels of the organization.
- Represent the product management discipline in cross-functional initiatives, as assigned by Management, and action on behalf of as appropriate.
- Effectively manage, support, and guide the team, including, but not limited to delegating tasks and responsibilities, assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.
- Drive tough decision making while balancing business goals, technical implications, and timelines.
- Apply strong attention to detail and be quality oriented with the ability to see the big picture.

Minimum Qualifications
- Fluency in the English language (C1 or above per CEFR framework) and ability to communicate in English on technical topics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Marketing, Business, Finance, or related field of study; or High School Degree/General Education Diploma and 4 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience leading or directing people and/or project teams.
- 4+ years of relevant work experience working within the product management discipline. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to agilely adapt to the respective audience (from team member to senior leadership).
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with service design and operations.
- Understanding of user experience and human centered design.
- Understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodologies and experience working as a business analyst, quality analyst, or product owner on technology development projects.
- Knowledge of and/or experience in working with HL7 health data application interfaces.
- Strong working knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) project management methodologies.
- Experience in working in a regulated environment (e.g. GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, CLIA, GCP, and FDA).
- Experience in molecular biology, genomics, translational science, and/or personalized medicine.
- Superior technical communication skills.
- Knowledge of other European languages (French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish) and/or Japanese.
