Social Work / Social Pedagogy Specialist
igs Bern offers a home to people with severe cognitive and psychological impairments. In our four residential groups, five residents each live, whom we support around the clock 365 days a year. We adapt the daily structure to their individual needs and possibilities, promote their self-determination and autonomy, and ensure the highest possible quality of life and as much normality as possible.
For our residential group in Fraubrunnen BE, we are looking for immediate or agreed upon start:
Social Work / Social Pedagogy Specialist (80%)
preferably with completed further training in practical training
Your tasks
- You accompany the residents in everyday life, support them in their self-determination, and open up new learning and activity fields for them
- You plan and implement activities inside and outside the residential group
- You support the residents with personal care
- You take on everyday household tasks together with the residents (cooking, shopping, cleaning)
- You take on the practical supervision of students of social pedagogy and social work
Your profile
- Completed training in the social pedagogical field (FH/HF)
- Further training in practical training or willingness to complete it
- Experience in caring for people with impairments
- Willingness to take on key worker duties and departmental responsibility
- Willingness to perform on-call and weekend duties
- Enjoyment of teamwork and willingness for personal and professional development
- A respectful and appreciative approach to the residents as well as cooperative collaboration in the multidisciplinary team
