Erlenbach on Lake Zurich is a vibrant community with around 5,700 inhabitants. The Reformed church community has a long tradition of social commitment for all residents of the community.
The social diaconate of the Erlenbach church community (ref-erlenbach.ch) supports and accompanies people in different phases of life by creating meeting opportunities for various target groups and coordinating part of the voluntary engagement in the community. The main focus is on local networking, community, and participation.
As an intern, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Participation in the planning and implementation of existing offers for seniors, such as community afternoons, senior holidays, or visiting services.
- Participation in the planning and implementation of offers for people with a migration background, such as tandem support or German courses.
- Participation in the conception and implementation of other existing social diaconal meeting offers and projects as needed.
- Situational participation in projects in the parish office.
- Depending on the current situation: Support for refugees in challenging situations.
- Depending on the current situation: Participation in the planning and implementation of offers for youth and families.
- Situational participation in the recruitment and support of volunteers.
What you need for this:
- Enjoy working with people of different generations, especially people from other cultural backgrounds and volunteers.
- The willingness to meet all people with appreciation and hospitality.
- The willingness to work irregular hours at times (evenings, weekends).
