Community Health and Care Assistant (ASSC) in Traumatology
The Department of the Locomotor System at CHUV is looking for a Community Health and Care Assistant (ASSC) for its Traumatology Unit, with a workload between 80% - 100%, starting May 1, 2026.

Context
The University Hospital of Vaud (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in the fields of medical care, medical research, and education.
The Department of the Locomotor System (DAL) is one of the 13 clinical and medical-technical departments of CHUV. It includes three services in the medical-care and university sense: the orthopedics and traumatology services, rheumatology, and plastic and reconstructive hand surgery, as well as a division of physical medicine and rehabilitation, a physiotherapy service, and a chiropractic unit. It also includes specialized centers such as the Sports Medicine Center, the Hand Center, the Burn Center and its regenerative therapy unit, as well as the Foot Center and the Bone Diseases Center.
The activity of the traumatology unit is to care for adult patients suffering from locomotor system injuries resulting from trauma (road accidents, work accidents, sports injuries, etc.). It also includes orthopedic and trauma emergencies and specializes in ortho-geriatric care in close collaboration with geriatricians present in the unit.
Mission
- You work closely with the nursing team in patient care
- You responsibly and autonomously support patients in aspects of care related to daily living activities
- You ensure the execution of care and monitoring delegated by qualified staff
- You perform medico-technical acts under supervision in stable care situations
- You carry out administrative and logistical tasks related to patient care.
Profile
- You hold a Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a Community Health and Care Assistant (ASSC)
- You have an interest in traumatology care
- You are a dynamic, committed, motivated person with a sense of responsibility
- Knowledge of institutional software is an asset.
Depending on the candidate's profile, the salary class will be between 5 and 6.
