Swiss Salines AG produces and processes high-quality salt for various application areas at the three salterns Riburg, Schweizerhalle, and Bex. We employ around 270 people who are embarking on the journey into Industry 4.0. To ensure salt supply for the coming decades, we are investing in our production sites as part of a significant transformation. For this entrepreneurial realignment, we are looking for an experienced Head of Engineering 100% in the Operations & Supply Chain Management area.
Your exciting leadership role: Leading an expert team of a total of 12-14 engineers and project experts who take care of the further development of our existing plants and infrastructure as well as drive our future with innovative projects. As Head of Engineering, you lead a team that handles optimization and new construction projects within the company's CAPAX guidelines. Together with your team, you are a central interface for the further development of our production sites. In the coming years, well over 100 million will be invested in our plants. You report directly to the Head of Operations & Supply Chain Management and are thus at the pulse of corporate development.
Your tasks
- You are responsible for the technical management of our most important development projects nationwide, such as infrastructure facilities or plant construction, automation, and logistics.
- You lead, develop, and coach the engineering department with 12-14 employees and ensure quantitative and qualitative controlling.
- You ensure a value-adding project culture that is oriented towards the principles and values of the company. In doing so, you confidently manage your change management processes.
- You ensure transparent and effective communication within the project team, our matrix organization, and with other stakeholders.
- You regularly identify and evaluate opportunities and risks in the planned projects according to our defined investment roadmap.
Your know-how and background
- You have a university degree as an engineer with corresponding advanced management training.
- You are a solution-oriented personality with many years of leadership experience in the engineering environment.
- Broad professional experience from a line or project organization, with a strong connection to the industrial environment (food industry, life sciences, chemistry, or process engineering).
- You bring entrepreneurial and business thinking and acting and have experience in implementing transformation projects.
- Strong communication, presentation, and persuasion skills in dealing with various levels.

- You are proactive and have the will to drive change.
