Job Description
This is a hospital-university position for the head physician of the General Pediatrics Department, including a fraction of a professorial position. This position is attached to the Hospital Department of Women, Children, and Adolescents and the Academic Department of Pediatrics, Gynecology, and Obstetrics.
The candidate must have extensive clinical experience in pediatrics as well as recognized management, communication, and leadership skills to lead a large university clinical service with a high volume of consultations. Through their work, the candidate will supervise, organize, and develop the activity within their department, which includes different consultation sectors according to the age of patients but also adolescent medicine, oncology, infectiology, immunology, vaccinology, and pediatric rheumatology. They must maintain existing relationships with other HUG departments and, as a reference center for Geneva and Swiss pediatricians, also maintain and develop strong links with practicing pediatricians and other extra-hospital pediatric structures.
The ability to conduct high-level research in pediatrics is required, as well as recognized skills in mentoring, team management, and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Qualifications
You hold a Doctorate in Medicine and specialization in Pediatrics or equivalent qualifications.
You have relevant experience in research leadership and teaching.
Publications in major international journals.
