Safety is not just a mandatory program for you, but a task with impact? In this key role, you make an important contribution to protecting people as well as the safety of our products and processes. Initially, your focus with a workload of around 80–100% is on occupational safety. You further develop the existing concept and help create a safe, future-oriented working environment.
In the medium term, this role offers you a clear perspective to expand your area of responsibility beyond your role as a safety officer. Depending on your additional qualifications and interests, you take on supplementary tasks, for example in the areas of maintenance and repair, quality management, technology, or laboratory.
What You Can Achieve
- Establishment, maintenance, and monitoring of occupational safety and physical health protection
- Planning and further development of the safety concept including roles, processes, and standards
- Conducting hazard identification, risk assessments, and accident analyses as well as deriving, defining, and implementing appropriate measures
- Ensuring and conducting training and instructions on occupational safety as well as conveying safety-relevant information
- Responsibility for hazardous materials, electrical, chemical, and laser safety in cooperation with the respective specialists
- Responsibility and support of the internal fire protection and emergency organization
- Review and co-design of workplaces, work equipment, and personal protective equipment
- Ensuring physical health protection in close cooperation with human resources
- Advising management, supervisors, and employees on all matters of occupational safety and health protection
- Planning and accompanying external audits as well as conducting safety inspections
- In the medium term: taking on additional tasks depending on competencies in the areas of maintenance and repair, quality management, laboratory, or technology
What Distinguishes You
- Completed vocational training in an industrial environment as well as several years of experience as a safety officer, ideally in industry
- A completed further education in occupational safety and health protection (ASGS) is required; the federal specialist certificate as an ASGS specialist is a plus
- Very good technical understanding and pronounced understanding of production processes
- Knowledge of EKAS guidelines, VKF regulations, labor law
- Independent working style, high sense of responsibility, and assertiveness
- Confident appearance and sovereign communication at all levels
- Fluent German skills in spoken and written form, English skills as well as other languages are an advantage
- Affinity for digital processes as well as very good PC skills
