We leverage our expertise to design and built time-of-flight mass spectrometers (TOF-MS) bringing space technology to Earth. Our instruments are compact, robust in hazardous environments and bring the leading edge to industrial process analyses.
Our focus lies on semiconductor manufacturing and the issues of process engineers at end-users (foundries) and OEMs (wafer fab equipment). Our products redefine real-time analysis of gases and enable higher process efficiency with lower scrap rates and therefore better overall yields.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager with strong technical acumen to join our commercial team. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible not only for identifying and driving new business opportunities, but also for supporting customers in the field—acting as a Field Application Manager during solution design, onboarding, and post-sales implementation.

- Collaborate with internal teams to align customer needs with product development and roadmap
Field Application Management:
- Act as the technical liaison during pre-sales engagements, translating customer requirements into technical solutions
- Support customer onboarding, product demonstrations, and hands-on testing setup
- Provide post-sales technical support and training to ensure customer success and satisfaction
- Gather and relay user feedback to the engineering and product teams for continuous improvement
- Represent Spacetek at industry tradeshows, field demos, and technical workshops
Your profile:
- Experience in business development, technical sales, or field application roles in high-tech B2B industries and / or similar experience i.e. PhD studies
- Strong technical background and / or experience working with mass spectrometry, gas analysis, or similar technologies
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical solutions clearly to a range of stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on approach—comfortable working in a fast-growing startup environment
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English; German is a plus
- Willingness to travel (approx. 10-20% internationally) for customer visits, demos, and events
Your competences:
- Work with a cutting-edge technology that’s transforming the space industry
- Be part of a visionary, mission-driven team backed by strong investors
- Flexible work environment with hybrid options
- Opportunity to grow with the company and shape its global impact
