Context & mission
Médecins Sans Frontières is an independent, international medical and humanitarian organization that provides care to people in need, people affected by natural or man-made disasters, and victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and without regard to race, religion, creed or political affiliation (MSF Charter).
The MSF movement is built around 5 operational centers supported by 24 sections and offices worldwide. MSF Operational Center Geneva (MSF OCG) is one of these centers.
Ensure the development, coherence, and continuous improvement of OCG Supply Chain standards, knowledge systems, and learning frameworks, in alignment with strategic objectives. Support operational performance by managing technical expertise and driving cross-functional integration within the MSF Supply Chain.
Tasks & Responsibilities

Define and maintain OCG Supply Chain standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure alignment with the organizational strategy, operational ambitions, and evolving global requirements.

Manage and develop the Supply Chain Expertise to guarantee high-quality deliverables, consistent technical support to the field, and effective contribution to transversal initiatives.

Oversee the continuous improvement of supply chain tools and processes (macro, micro, SOPs, and reporting formats) to enhance operational performance, usability, and coherence across missions.

Develop and sustain a robust knowledge management system to ensure accessibility, relevance, and up-to-date content for all supply chain documentation and platforms.

Lead learning and development initiatives related to the Supply Chain function by designing, updating, and supervising technical training pathways and HR tools (skills matrices, assessments, etc.) for HQ and field staff.

Coordinate supply-related learning components with other departments and represent OCG in inter-sectional platforms to strengthen alignment and cross-functional integration.

Act as a strategic focal point for field support on supply chain standards to ensure timely and accurate responses to mission needs and reinforce adherence to best practices.

Contribute to cross-functional studies and working groups to promote innovation, environmental responsibility, and the evolution of the supply chain model within MSF-OCG and the broader MSF movement.
Your profile
Education
-
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

Professional certification in Supply Chain or Project Management (e.g., APICS, CIPS, PMP) is an asset.

Additional training in data management or adult learning methodologies is an advantage.
Experience
-
MSF field experience in supply chain management is required
-
Proven experience in developing or improving supply chain systems, standards, or policies.

Experience in team management, capacity building, and cross-departmental coordination.

Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain digital tools is an advantage.
Languages
-
English and French are the working languages of MSF Switzerland. Fluency in both English and French is required for this position (oral and written).
Skills/ Technical competencies

Strong understanding of humanitarian supply chain processes, standards, and compliance requirements.

Knowledge of Knowledge management systems and learning frameworks.

Ability to analyse, rationalize, and optimize supply chain tools, processes, and reporting.

Sensitivity to software and data management; ability to leverage digital platforms for efficiency.

Terms of employment

Full-time position 100% (40h/week)

Open-ended contract

Working place: Geneva, Switzerland (with a possibility to work from another OCG hub after one year)

Ideal start date: Novembre 2025

Gross annual salary (for 100%): from CHF 94’440.- to CHF 108’348.- (salary commensurate with equivalent experience and internal salary grid)

Paid vacation: 25 days per year, prorate temporis, plus any Swiss public holidays falling within the contract period.

Pension plan: pension contribution covered 3/4 by MSF, 1/4 by staff member.

Relocation package if moving from a different country to Switzerland.
