The municipality of Flumenthal with around 1,050 inhabitants is located at the southern foot of the Jura in the canton of Solothurn. Due to its rural village character and the good mix of residential, agricultural and commercial areas, Flumenthal represents a very attractive place to live. The municipality is characterised by a vibrant club and cultural life, is well connected by public transport and has progressive infrastructure. Due to a reorientation of the previous postholder, the municipality of Flumenthal is looking for an experienced, dynamic and responsible individual as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.

Area of responsibility

You will lead the finance department in a goal-oriented manner and coordinate the ongoing financial affairs of the municipality. You are responsible for managing the entire financial administration and tax system of the municipality of Flumenthal, as well as payroll, subsidies, fees and insurance matters. As the financial and strategic advisor to the municipal council, you are – together with the finance commission – the financial conscience of the municipality and thus play a central role in municipal development. In addition to municipal accounting, you may be entrusted with further mandate accounting and audit mandates from regional institutions.

Profile / Requirements

You are an innovative, team-oriented, finance-savvy, independent and communicative personality with a high degree of self-competence. You have training in municipal finance or a comparable federal professional certificate. Your sound expertise with practical experience in finance and accounting is preferably complemented by very good IT skills. Willingness to attend evening meetings is expected.
