BÜHLMANN Laboratories AG is an international manufacturing and trading company in the field of Life Sciences with its headquarters in Schönenbuch, Basel-Landschaft canton. For 50 years, we have developed leading in-vitro diagnostic products (IVD) trusted by hospitals and private medical laboratories worldwide. We employ over 150 people, 140 of whom are in Schönenbuch.
To strengthen our purchasing team, we are looking for a committed personality as of now or by arrangement:
Your tasks – Strategic. Operational. Customer-oriented.
- Independent execution of operational and strategic purchasing of biotechnology products (antibodies, allergens, toxins), packaging materials, and related services
- Identifying possible alternative raw materials and clarifying their suitability in cooperation with internal departments (Manufacturing, Development)
- Identification and evaluation of suppliers as well as negotiation of contracts, prices, and delivery conditions
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with suppliers
- Establishing alternative suppliers for critical components
- Continuous maintenance of master data and price lists in the ERP system
- Creation and control of inquiries, orders, and invoices, including their approval and accounting
- Handling supplier complaints including the return processing of defective goods
- Monitoring and analyzing procurement trends and market conditions to identify opportunities for improvements and cost savings
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards
Your profile – Experienced. Technical. Leadership strong.
- Completed commercial training or technical training with commercial further education
- Proven experience in procurement/purchasing
- Experience in purchasing in a regulated environment (in vitro diagnostics, biotechnology, medical technology, pharma) is an advantage
- ERP experience with Windows applications such as Business Central, Navision, or Dynamics AX
- Languages: German native/fluent in speaking and writing, English fluent in speaking and writing, and additional languages are an advantage
- Analytical thinking and the ability to integrate complex data
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Team-oriented thinking and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Result-, customer-, and service-oriented, independent
