The ISME (Swiss Institute of Equine Medicine) of the Vetsuisse Faculty of the University of Bern operates a veterinary clinic with a fitness and rehabilitation station and a reproduction center at the Avenches location, as well as a referral clinic at the Bern location for horses and other equids. The team consists of around 55 employees. The position is to be filled at the Bern location with a workload of 100%.
Tasks to be done
Horse care, stable work, feeding, cleaning, assistance in clinic operations (examinations, treatments, farrier), on-call duty at night and on weekends, as well as light maintenance work.
What you bring
You have very good knowledge in handling and caring for horses and other equids, are extremely reliable, and place the highest value on cleanliness and order. You are a team player, flexible, and independent, and are willing to make special efforts in unforeseen events. The work is physically demanding, and good constitution and health are essential.
