Head of the floor stock management team - hospital logistics
The Supply, Distribution and Storage Service (ADS) of the Department of Hospital Logistics (DLOH) is looking for a head of the floor stock management team, with a workload between 80% and 100%, under a permanent contract.
The starting date is scheduled for February 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals and ranks among the best hospitals in the world according to the 2025 Newsweek magazine ranking. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in care, medical research, and education.
The Department of Hospital Logistics (LOH) guarantees all operational services allowing care, teaching, and research units to fully focus on their mission: disinfection and maintenance, patient transfers, sterilization, catering, goods transport, stock management, etc.
The Supply, Distribution and Storage Service (ADS) has nearly 130 employees. Its main mission is managing the flow of goods and mail within the institution, as well as managing the stocks of care units, both on hospital floors and in operating rooms.
Mission
- You supervise and plan the work of the teams involved (13 employees)
- You oversee the employees and promote a positive climate based on recognition, trust, fairness, and respect
- You participate in recruitment, ensure integration, and oversee the training of new employees
- You guarantee efficient stock management on the floors, in coordination with key partners
- You ensure proper inventory execution in accordance with institutional rules
- You oversee the delivery of materials according to established schedules and in compliance with current regulations
- You are responsible for the quality of services provided to care units.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a logistician or an equivalent qualification
- You have at least 3 years of experience in supply, logistics, or managing an automated storage system
- You have at least 3 years of experience in supervising and managing personnel
- You master ERP, WMS software as well as common office tools
- You have perfect command of French, both spoken and written
- You are organized, rigorous, autonomous, and have excellent priority management skills
- You are willing to work variable hours (day, evening, weekends, public holidays)
- You are comfortable working in a constrained environment (blind rooms)
- You are able to handle potentially difficult or stressful situations related to proximity to care units.
