Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer (M365 & Azure) to join our small team of experts in Geneva. You will be the go‑to person for Microsoft 365 and Azure, helping us modernise our workplace and infrastructure in a highly professional private banking environment.

You will design and implement cloud and hybrid solutions, drive M365 adoption, and support key infrastructure projects (servers, storage, virtualization, desktops). You will also act as a technical reference for other IT teams on all cloud topics (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud & Infrastructure Design and Implementation

  • Design, build and deploy cloud, hybrid and on‑premises solutions in line with the bank’s IT strategy and architecture standards.

  • Participate in the design and implementation of IT infrastructure projects related to systems (servers, storage, virtualization, desktops).

  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of the technology direction, vision and strategy to enable and accelerate cloud technology adoption.

• M365 & Azure Engineering

  • Act as a subject-matter expert for M365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, security & compliance features, etc.) and contribute to Azure-based solutions.

  • Lead or support application readiness assessments, environment design and configuration for M365 and Azure workloads.

  • Perform prototyping of new environments, server builds and configuration to validate solutions before production rollout.

• Cloud Adoption & Optimization

  • Drive and support cloud adoption initiatives, including: 

  • Application and infrastructure readiness assessments

  • Data and workload migration to M365/Azure

  • Performance tuning and optimization of cloud environments

  • Ensure solutions are secure, resilient, scalable and compliant with banking and regulatory requirements.

• Automation & Operational Excellence

  • Develop, enhance and maintain automation for infrastructure components (e.g. provisioning, configuration, monitoring, patching, lifecycle management).

  • Contribute to the standardization and industrialization of infrastructure services and processes.

  • Support continuous improvement of operational procedures, documentation and runbooks.

• Collaboration & Support

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to other IT support teams on all cloud topics (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).

  • Act as an escalation point for complex incidents and problems related to M365, Azure and hybrid infrastructure.

  • Collaborate closely with security, network, workplace and application teams to ensure end‑to‑end solution quality.

Skills & Experience Required

• Senior experience in infrastructure / cloud engineering, with strong focus on M365 and good knowledge of Azure.

• Solid background with Windows Server, virtualization, networking and hybrid environments.

• Hands‑on experience with cloud migrations and optimization.

• Used to working in complex, regulated environments; financial services / banking experience is a plus.

• Comfortable in a small, high‑expertise team, with a proactive and collaborative mindset.

• English fluent (must); French is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a pragmatic and solution‑oriented mindset.

• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• High level of ownership, reliability and integrity, aligned with the standards of a private banking environment.
