The Dean's Office organizes and coordinates the human medicine study program and is the central interface to lecturers, students, clinics, institutes, and other university departments. We ensure the quality of the curriculum and support lecturers and students throughout the entire course of study. As part of the 2030 strategy, we continuously develop processes and services.
The Directorate of Teaching and Research (DLF) of the Inselspital promotes high-quality teaching and thus supports the strategic goal of the University of Bern on campus as an educational institution with excellent teaching.
In the context of promoting excellent teaching in human medicine, this newly created administrative interface position is to be filled.
Your main tasks
- Administration of the teaching pool of external teaching physicians: recruitment of external teaching physicians, creating deployment plans, managing databases, room management, administration of remuneration, general correspondence
- Administration of Faculty Development Teaching: creating deployment plans for the teaching team, coordinating the faculty development offerings, administration of remuneration, managing the faculty pool, scheduling with clinics, sending evaluations, general correspondence
- Administration and coordination of the interface DLF – Dean's Office: general correspondence, scheduling, meeting administration (preparation and follow-up of meetings), meeting minutes
- Co-design of change processes of administrative procedures including digitization (data/list maintenance, templates, workflows, tools); assistance in implementing a suitable planning tool
Your profile
- Completed 3-year commercial training (or equivalent) and several years of experience as a clerk in a hub function – ideally in a university or clinical environment
- Very good MS Office skills; you learn new programs/tools quickly and work process- and detail-oriented
- Service- and customer-oriented, team-oriented with a hands-on mentality, high personal responsibility and organizational talent, resilience and flexibility even during peak times
- Confident German language skills, good English skills are an advantage
