We are the Foundation for Blind and Visually Impaired Children and Youth Zollikofen - a private, politically and denominationally neutral organization with a non-profit objective. Our task is to support and accompany people with special needs from birth to young adulthood. We offer additional services to parents, teachers of public regular schools and special primary schools, as well as to professionals. Our core competencies lie in the support and accompaniment of young people with visual impairment, blindness, multiple disabilities, or from the autism spectrum. In our vision pedagogical service, we are looking for support for a child with severe visual impairment in cycle 1 starting August 2026

Tasks

You will accompany and support, in collaboration with our specialist and the teachers on site, a child with severe visual impairment in everyday kindergarten life. This enables the integration of the child in kindergarten and relieves the teachers. Specifically, you accompany and support the pupil during play and craft situations, in social situations, and for example on the way to the gym, when changing clothes, during forest mornings, or during break times.

Requirements

You enjoy and have experience working with children and have an interest in pedagogical and blindness-specific topics. You are empathetic, responsive to other people, and can express yourself very well in German. You have manual skills, are used to working with different people, and remain calm even in hectic situations. A strong sense of responsibility and the willingness to further educate yourself in blindness-specific issues complete your profile.
