Tasks:
- plans and provides appropriate, quality, and ethically oriented services, personalizing the intervention and managing the setting
- correctly completes the patient documentation ensuring the completeness of clinical data within the nurse's competence
- is autonomous and responsible in performing their function, consistently applies the current care model (integrated care) and uses the psychoeducational tools in use. Promotes and leads therapeutic and recreational groups
- recognizes early signs and symptoms of crisis, intervenes according to principles of effectiveness, efficiency, and appropriateness respecting the procedures in use
- builds, reactivates, and organizes the support network exercising a role of health advocacy
- actively collaborates with the various internal and external OSC teams using a cooperative, assertive approach aimed at mediation and conflict resolution
- assumes a mentoring role towards students in internships and newly hired staff collaborating with the assistant teacher
- updates themselves and actively participates in training events that contribute to the evolution of their function
Requirements:
- nurse diploma with specialty (mental health) (salary class 5) or Bachelor in nursing or nurse diploma in general care with recognition issued by the Swiss Red Cross (SRC) (salary class 4) with registration in the national health professions register GesReg/NAREG:
- experience in the psychiatric field
- ability to work in a team, critical thinking, creativity, proactive attitude, flexibility, empathy, and relational skills
- knowledge and experience in the national health system
- perfect knowledge of the Italian language and knowledge of another official language and/or English
Special remarks:
- employment rate to be defined, candidates are invited to indicate the desired percentage in their application
- availability of the candidate to work irregular hours and shifts (holidays and nights)
- the service location will vary depending on available positions
- for holders of a Bachelor in nursing or a Diploma in general care nursing:
- obligation to specialize in mental health at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) within 4 years of hiring according to the regulations and directives in force at the time of enrollment in the training path (DAS course fee covered by the Cantonal Sociopsychiatric Organization (OSC) while the exam fee is borne by the employee). During this period, the hiring will be in the form of an assignment (art. 15 and 16 LORD) convertible into appointment upon obtaining the title; failure to obtain it will result in the definitive termination of the employment relationship
- since this is an annual competition, with the possibility of being hired during 2026, candidates will not receive a positive or negative response. They will only be informed about the validity of their application in relation to the required qualifications
- applications without a cover letter, curriculum vitae (CV), and certificates/diplomas/recognitions/Swiss Red Cross recognition for foreign diplomas listed in the requirements will be rejected outright. Employment conditions:
- appointment or assignment: as provided by the Law on the Organization of State Employees and Teachers of March 15, 1995 (LORD) and the related Regulation. Any changes in law concerning salary and organization are explicitly reserved
- working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment relationship), flexible or according to service needs
