To specifically further develop its Board of Directors, EBL is looking for two new board members with different, complementary competence profiles.
We are looking for distinguished personalities with strategic experience in energy infrastructure as well as in the energy market and energy trading, who will strengthen the existing body professionally and actively shape the long-term orientation of EBL.

General Qualities
- Strategic, networked, and independent thinking
- Suitable personality profile for the company: honest, authentic, team- and solution-oriented, entrepreneurial and innovative
- University degree (Uni/ETH/FH)
- Willingness to serve a long-term mandate with time availability of about 20 days per year.
- Free from conflicts of interest
Profile-Specific Qualities
- Profile 1️⃣: Energy Infrastructure and Asset Management
- Many years of experience at the executive level in planning, construction, and operation of energy infrastructures, ideally with national and/or international influence
- Solid know-how in asset management of energy facilities (lifecycle, investment, and value preservation strategies)
- Ability to assess economic, ecological, and sustainable criteria in a balanced way
- Familiar with governance, internal control system (ICS), and assessment of infrastructure and operational risks
- Profile 2️⃣: Energy Market, Energy Trading, and Risk Management
- Many years of experience in the energy industry (energy market, energy trading) at the executive level, ideally with national and/or international influence
- Very good understanding of market mechanisms and regulations (CH / EU)
- Proven track record in future-relevant topics of the energy industry, especially sustainable energy supply and business model transformations
- Demonstrated expertise in electricity trading, asset trading, and risk management
