Job Description

As an employee in the synthesis pilot plant (Chemical Operator Synthesis Pilot Plant), you contribute significantly to the technical processing of Syngenta's development pipeline and are involved in the development and testing of new processes. In a three-shift system, you produce chemical intermediates and active substances and ensure that the products are delivered on time and in the required quality.

Your tasks:

• Production of chemical intermediates and active substances according to pilot instructions with precise documentation of observations and processes
• Compliance with applicable Health, Safety & Environment ("HSE") regulations and risk analyses as well as exemplary safety awareness
• Operation of equipment both manually and via the process control system
• Assembly and preparation of production equipment according to the specifications of a pilot instruction
• Performing safety, maintenance, and control tasks as well as simple repairs and revisions
• Reporting incidents, technical malfunctions, and unsafe actions as well as suggesting appropriate corrective and preventive measures

Qualifications

• Completed training as a chemical technician or chemical and pharmaceutical technologist
• Fluent German skills (spoken & written), English skills (spoken) are an advantage
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Technical and practical expertise with flexibility in solving tasks
• Experience in handling process control systems
• Willingness to participate in fire or medical services
