At the Road Traffic Office of the Canton of Zurich, around 460 employees work at nine locations. Our task is traffic safety in the Canton of Zurich. We are responsible for the registration and inspection of vehicles and ships, for driving tests, for administrative measures, and for collecting traffic fees. For the "Special Permits" team in our Registration department at the Zurich-Albisgütli Road Traffic Office, we are looking for a Clerk Special Permits 80-100% starting November 1, 2025, or by agreement.
These tasks await you
- Receiving, checking, and issuing special permits for exceptional transports and exceptional vehicles, for work and rest time regulations, as well as for night and Sunday drives
- Providing written and telephone information from the specialist area
- Cooperation and exchange with various authorities (Federal Roads Office (ASTRA), police, other road traffic offices, civil engineering office, etc.)
We expect from you
- Several years of experience and enjoyment in activities in the transport industry
- Knowledge in the commercial field as well as IT affinity
- Expertise in the area of heavy motor vehicles
- Good geographical knowledge of Switzerland, especially the Canton of Zurich
- Precise and efficient working style even with a high workload
- Flawless oral and written German skills
