About the job
Do you want to actively shape the data future of SWICA? Then become part of our team and influence the strategic development of our Data & Analytics landscape. As a Data & Analytics Architect, you take on a key role in building modern, domain-oriented data architectures and create the foundation for high-quality, reliable, and clearly modeled data products throughout the company.
You work closely with Data Engineers, Business, and Governance teams, define modeling and architecture standards, and ensure that our data platform remains scalable, future-proof, and business-oriented. Your field of activity is diverse, challenging, and offers you plenty of room for design, innovation, and initiative.
Exciting tasks
- Further development of our company-wide data and analytics architecture
- Creation of conceptual, logical, and physical data models for domains and data products
- Definition and maintenance of standards for data modeling, semantics, data quality, and metadata
- Active co-design of our data-mesh-oriented platform
- Shaping federated governance with the various data teams at SWICA
- Sparring and coaching for Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business teams
- Close collaboration with data protection, IT security, and governance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Support in evaluating new technologies and further developing our analytics roadmap
You bring with you
- Completed higher professional training in computer science or comparable qualification or equivalent professional experience in data architecture, data management, or data engineering
- Several years of experience in modeling and designing data architectures
- Very good knowledge of modern data modeling methods (e.g., dimensional, 3NF, Data Vault)
- Very good knowledge of analytics-relevant historization methods
- Understanding of modern cloud architectures (Azure) and enthusiasm for strategic-conceptual work
- Ability to clearly communicate complex data concepts to business stakeholders
- Team-oriented, structured, and independent working style
- Very good German and good English skills
