Designer in High Voltage Technology / Disconnect Switch

In this role as part of PFIFFNER Schaltgeräte AG at the Grenchen / SO location, you are clearly constructively anchored and independently take on the design and construction of high and medium voltage disconnect switches. At the same time, you have the opportunity to gradually familiarize yourself with development topics and take responsibility for products within the corporate group. You work hands-on, make technical decisions, and actively shape a growing product portfolio.

What you do

• Independent design and further development of high and medium voltage disconnect switches in compliance with relevant standards
• Creation and maintenance of 3D models and technical drawings
• Collaboration in design, development, and type tests in internal and external test laboratories
• Technical evaluation of modifications, variants, and new developments
• Gradual assumption of product responsibility as a technical key account
• Technical contact person for sales, project management, and internal interfaces
• Collaboration in technical clarifications with customers and occasional support at trade fairs

What you bring

• Completed education at FH or HF level in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or comparable
• Several years of experience in the design of technical products, ideally in an industrial environment
• Very good knowledge in working with 3D CAD systems (preferably Inventor)
• Experience in creating and maintaining bills of materials in ERP systems
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering related to high voltage
• Experience or understanding of standards, design, and tests in a technical environment
• Structured, independent working style and enjoyment of technical responsibility
• Good German and English skills in spoken and written form; French skills are an advantage
