Job Description
Main characteristics of the Graduate Trainee opportunity
- Length of employment on a fix-term contract with start date as soon as possible; 12-14 months
- Main tasks: developing and delivering analytics products leveraging Palantir Foundry (PySpark) in partnership with the CRO function
- Appropriate internal on-the-job training and introduction to Reinsurance, networking activities
Responsibilities
We are looking for highly qualified, motivated, and enthusiastic young talent, interested to work in and contribute to our Data and Analytics Department. The department partners with business functions driving our broader business & data strategy. During your traineeship, you will be assigned to specific tasks related to the analytics product development and delivery for the Risk Department. In your role as trainee, you will also cooperate and interact with other departments and by this receive a broad understanding of various processes and projects within a truly global and the 5th largest Reinsurer worldwide.
Qualifications
Your Profile
- Above average University Degree (Master, PhD) in Engineering, IT, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Actuarial Sciences or similar
- Good knowledge of programming languages (preferably Python/PySpark)
- Familiarity with basic concepts of quantitative finance and statistics is an advantage
- Good conceptual and analytical capabilities plus being able to approach tasks consistently, goal-oriented, and independently
- Prior experience with version control software such as GIT is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills and command in English, knowledge of French or German is an advantage
- Global mind-set, team player attitude and appetite for continuous learning and achievements in an international context
