About the job
The Allgemeine Berufsschule Zürich ABZH is the competence center for the professions of gastronomy and hospitality. In addition, it is responsible for the basic education of various other professions and also offers courses in the continuing education sector. With around 2,200 learners and over 100 teachers in 17 different professions, it is one of the larger vocational schools in the canton of Zurich.
From August 1, 2026, or by arrangement, we are looking for several employees in housekeeping approx. 50%.
- Maintenance and basic cleaning of operational rooms such as classrooms, group and break rooms, office rooms, and sanitary facilities
- Care and preservation of the school facilities
- Assisting in ensuring an orderly operational process in the school building
- Assisting in the preparation of school events
- Willingness for early and late shifts (07:00 – 20:00, without allowances), but mainly late shifts
- Service-oriented, team player, loyal, flexible, and resilient
- Clean, efficient, independent, and reliable working style
- Good spoken German skills
- Experience with scrubber-dryer machines and single-disc machines
- Several years of professional experience in a similar position is an advantage
- A committed housekeeping team
- A workplace at a school undergoing change in a centrally located place near Zurich main station
- Employment conditions according to cantonal guidelines
- The positions are initially limited in time.
