Your Tasks
- Representation of the interests and strategy of WWF Switzerland in the region and alignment of regional work with the national strategy.
- Responsibility for the implementation of WWF Switzerland's programs and projects in the canton, in collaboration with the board of WWF Oberwallis and the management of Unterwallis.
- Support for the volunteer board, coordination of environmental policy developments on site, representation of nature's interests in legal cases, and active relationship management with partners, cantonal authorities, and regional committees.
- Partnership and constructive collaboration within the section and the regional teams in Lausanne and Bern.
Your Profile
- Higher degree in natural and environmental sciences or similar experience
- Experience in political lobbying, public relations, and project management
- Several years of professional experience in the environmental sector as well as in-depth knowledge in topics such as aquatic ecology, terrestrial biodiversity, or climate and energy
- Strong connection to the Canton of Valais, especially to the Oberwallis region, with knowledge of the geographical conditions as well as the political structures and processes of the region
- Very good German and French language skills – ideally both at C1 level
- Work location depending on residence in Lausanne, Bern, or Sion – with regular travel between these locations
