Common Shared Services (CSS) is a critical enabler of Hitachi Energy’s global Supply Chain organization. As Head of SCM Common Shared Services, you will lead a large, multi‑site shared services organization delivering end‑to‑end supply chain services to five Business Units worldwide.
In this role, you will drive productivity, quality, and scalability through AI, digitalization, and standardization, while evolving the service portfolio from high‑volume transactional activities to increasingly tactical, value‑adding services. You will build and lead a best‑in‑class organization, recognized by internal stakeholders and external peers for operational excellence and innovation.
How you’ll make an impact
- Define and execute the global strategy for SCM Common Shared Services, aligned with business priorities and long‑term transformation goals
- Lead and continuously improve end‑to‑end operational performance across the SCM CSS service catalogue
- Support five Business Units and the global SCM function with scalable, responsive, and value‑adding services
- Drive the AI, automation, and digitalization agenda to significantly improve productivity, quality, and speed
- Translate emerging technologies into practical, measurable business value
- Develop and manage a diverse and evolving service portfolio, spanning high‑volume transactional and increasingly tactical supply chain activities
- Establish clear service definitions, SLAs, KPIs, and governance models across all services
- Balance efficiency, quality, and flexibility to meet differing Business Unit needs
- Lead and develop a global organization of approximately 400 employees across multiple locations
Your background
- Extensive end‑to‑end supply chain expertise, with 15+ years of relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience in shared services or comparable global service organizations
- 10+ years of people management experience in complex, matrix‑driven environments
- Proven experience driving large‑scale transformation, standardization, and productivity improvements
- Strong exposure to AI, automation, and digital supply chain solutions
- Cultural sensitivity and demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a highly international environment
