The Vocational School Wetzikon, with 2500 students in basic education and 700 course participants in continuing education, is a leading vocational school for future-oriented teaching and learning. We stand for demanding and targeted education for all who want to advance professionally.
We are looking for a committed HF program manager with teaching activity in the field of horticultural technology (30 - 50%) starting March 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Your tasks
As HF program manager for horticultural technology, you bear full professional and organizational responsibility for our 3-year course. In addition, you teach our students in the part-time program.
As program manager, you design and revise module and course content, create schedules and exam plans, and ensure that lecturers, administration, and school management are optimally networked at all times. You represent the school to authorities, professional associations, and other important stakeholders. You are the contact person for our students and accompany them from assessment through regular progress discussions to successful graduation. Furthermore, you are responsible for the budget, drive quality development, accreditation, and marketing forward. Together with the school management, you recruit new lecturers, whom you professionally introduce and support during the course.
Your profile
You have several years of successful professional experience in gardening and landscaping as well as leadership and project management experience. You engage with current developments in gardening and landscaping, are familiar with the green sector in Switzerland, and are very well networked. You enjoy teamwork and consider digital transformation in horticulture important. In addition, you are interested in pedagogical questions.
With your tertiary-level degree in horticulture (Higher Technical School, University of Applied Sciences, or equivalent), you meet the requirements for employment. Since teaching activity in your own field is part of the position, you ideally already have a pedagogical qualification in adult education or are willing to obtain one.
Our offer
We offer you a varied and responsible leadership role in a dynamic educational institution and an exciting teaching activity in a young, successful program.
Your workplace is Wetzikon in the Zurich Oberland. Public transport is nearby. Employment conditions are based on cantonal regulations. The workload can be supplemented by development work or, if suitable, also by teaching in basic education. You will be supported by a well-coordinated team in fulfilling your tasks.
