District Court Affoltern a.A.
The District Court Affoltern is one of twelve district courts in the canton of Zurich with 29 employees. As the first instance, nearly 2000 civil and criminal cases are processed annually.
For our commercial office, we are looking for an
Accountant or Administrative Secretary (80%)
starting June 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
- as an accountant:
- Management of financial accounting (processing/posting of documents, payment orders, cash and postal checking, budgeting, closing tasks, etc.)
- Recording the fees for the assignments of interpreters and substitute judges
- Management of bankruptcy matters (processing incoming bankruptcy cases, summons management, monitoring deadlines, preparation and dispatch of bankruptcy decisions)
- Control of cash deposits and seizures
- Personnel administration (especially recording and maintaining employee data in the personnel administration system of the canton of Zurich, SAP)
- Administrative support of the court management in leadership and planning tasks
- as an administrative secretary:
- Counter/post and telephone service (contact with parties, lawyers, and authorities)
- Material and key management
- General secretarial work including archiving
- Substitution within the commercial office
Your profile
- Commercial training with professional experience in accounting and bookkeeping
- Very good IT skills (MS Office tools, especially Word and Excel, SAP knowledge is an advantage)
- Networked thinking, resilience, independent working style, and ability to work in a team
- Sense of order, diligence, and a high level of service and responsibility awareness, confidentiality
- Interest in legal issues and the administration of justice
