This role focuses on implementing program plans, maintaining disciplined communication, and supporting technical decisions through structured analysis, utilizes expertise and resources on the team.
You will play a key role in day‑to‑day program coordination - bridging spacecraft‑manufacturer interactions, internal engineering groups, and operations stakeholders - to maintain clear, actionable alignment across the program. Your work strengthens execution discipline and ensures teams have the clarity, documentation, and flow they need to deliver reliably.
The day-to-day
- Coordinate with spacecraft manufacturers to track compliance against contracted technical specifications and program requirements.
- Monitor design, assembly, integration, and test (AIT) progress; identify issues and drive follow‑up actions with engineering leads.
- Maintain program schedules and track milestone performance to align with internal commercial and mission objectives.
- Support launcher‑selection activities and manage the working‑level interface with launch‑service providers.
- Assist in the development of spacecraft bus and payload specifications for future procurement efforts.
- Facilitate program reviews by preparing materials, documenting decisions, and ensuring follow‑through on assigned actions.
- Track risks, issues, and decision drivers; escalate emerging concerns with structured, solution‑oriented recommendations.
- Support configuration management, documentation flow, and traceability of program decisions.
- Prepare clear written summaries and communication artifacts for engineering teams, leadership, suppliers, and partners.
- Contribute to workflow and process improvements that reduce execution friction and enhance program clarity.
What you'll need
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
- Experience supporting satellite, spacecraft, or complex engineering program execution (design, AIT, systems engineering, or program coordination).
- Understanding of satellite manufacturing, testing, and schedule/cost trade considerations.
- Ability to work across mechanical, RF, software, AIT, ground, and operations teams.
- Strong communication skills for interfacing with engineering teams and external contractor counterparts.
- Ability to organize technical information, anticipate constraints, and maintain alignment on next‑best‑steps.
- Demonstrated competency in core program‑execution skills: milestone tracking, issue management, documentation discipline, and cross‑team coordination.
What will help you on the job
- Familiarity with digital engineering concepts, modeling standards, and traceability structures.
- Experience with satellite‑contract structures, program compliance, or launch‑procurement coordination.
- Comfort engaging on technical details while preserving a program‑level, structured viewpoint.
- A methodical, analytical approach to program challenges with an emphasis on practical, effective paths forward.
- Strong interpersonal skills, enabling clear communication across contractors and internal stakeholders.
- A mindset oriented toward continuous improvement, disciplined execution, and reducing ambiguity for engineering teams.
