The Digital Transformation and AI Department (DTN-IA) creates, integrates, and manages all IT applications of one of the most efficient hospital information systems to support the clinical and logistical activities of the University Hospitals of Geneva. With a fleet of more than 12,500 workstations, 1,300 servers for over 250 applications serving all staff, available 24/7, the DTN-IA manages an HR information system for the 13,000 employees of the HUG and 7 other Geneva institutions, as well as a powerful ERP for the most complex logistical and financial processes.
The DTN-IA creates an integrated patient record at the forefront of the sector and contributes to the HUG's reputation thanks to recognized functional richness and close collaborations with all healthcare professionals and their transversal management. Job Description
Looking for an internship in computer science, you will collaborate with our IT analyst as a trainee IT correspondent for the clinical neuroscience department.
You support users from the 5 services: Neurosurgery, Neurology, ENT, Neurorehabilitation, and Ophthalmology of the department in IT matters, assist in the selection and use of hardware and software, characterize encountered problems, ensure their follow-up, and support access rights management.
You work on IT application design files.
You participate in specific projects.
Qualifications
You are currently pursuing a university Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (final year) in computer science. You must complete a mandatory internship with ECTS credits as part of your training and have an internship agreement.
You have a first internship experience that allows you to understand the demands of the working world.
You have a strong interest in computer science and possess good knowledge of office hardware and software (PC, printers and accessories, websites, applications, Office suite, etc.).
Your knowledge of HUG institutional tools (DPI, DPA, Qualiac, VNA) and medical imaging (DICOM files) is an asset.
You have perfect mastery of the French language as well as good writing skills; proficiency in written and spoken English is an asset.
