About the job

• Design, development, and further advancement of the new cloud-based DWH architecture (focus on Google Cloud, Airbyte, dbt) considering the existing system landscape.
• Implementation, operation, and monitoring of stable ETL/ELT processes for integrating internal and external data sources. You are responsible for the solutions "End-to-End" (Build & Run).
• Providing a consistent, scalable data foundation ("Single Source of Truth") as well as supporting reporting and analysis through curated models in PowerBI Cloud.
• Application and promotion of best practices such as GIT versioning, clean code principles, and comprehensive technical documentation of data models and flows.
• Conscious and secure handling of cloud resources ("Cloud Understanding"), including cost control based on the pay-as-you-go principle and risk assessment.
• Strong, proactive interaction and requirements gathering with the business units as well as close coordination with our internal IT service provider.

• You have several years of practical experience in building data warehouse solutions and have a solid understanding of the "classic" DWH world (SQL/T-SQL, SSIS; HaloBI is a plus).
• You are familiar with modern cloud technologies and mechanisms (focus on Google Cloud, Airbyte, dbt, PowerBI Cloud).
• You understand the opportunities and risks of cloud usage and bring a strong "engineering thinking" (GIT, clean code).
• You work in a structured and documentation-secure manner.
• You are a doer personality who likes to get things done, independently drives topics forward, and always works with a high quality standard.
• You enjoy regular exchange with business units and IT.
• You are service-oriented and can clearly and understandably communicate complex technical matters.
• You are a team player, work cooperatively, and enrich our agile environment with your open, solution-oriented manner.
